Tapes 'N Tapes @ Antone's
Minneapolis indie-rock favorites Tapes ’N Tapes join Austin psych favorites White Denim for an all-out aural explosion at Antone’s this evening. Known as the unofficial mascot of the “blog band” phenomena, in which bands quickly rise to popularity through various write-ups and reviews on music blogs such as Pitchfork Media and Gorilla Vs. Bear, Tapes ’N Tapes formed in late 2003 and released their first full-length record “The Loon” in 2005. Late last year, Tape ’N Tapes finished their sophomore album “Walk It Off,” which was released April 8. Doors at 8 p.m., show at 9. Antone’s, 213 W. Fifth St. $12-$14. 320-8424, www.antones.net.
